2019 has been the best year yet! Thanks to the joint efforts of Familia LightShine, our local government, and our recent partnership with The Hope Effect, we are able to transcend our own boundaries and make an international impact!

After operating for two years in Chihuahua, pioneering Foster Care in Northern Mexico, we are proud to announce that our Foster Care Work Model, implemented in the state of Chihuahua, Mexico, has been acknowledged by the international community as the model to follow by the Latin American Foster Care Network (Red Latinoamericana de Acogimiento Familiar, in Spanish).

It has been an honor to join forces with DIF Estatal, the local authority, who has shown interest since the beginning, to establish an alternative to institutionalized care, by making Foster Care the first option for children and teenagers who have been split from their family core.

Praise God for the twenty-two families that are now a part of the program. As an organization we feel privileged to recruit, train, and follow up on each family who opens their homes and hearts to love, and care for those in need.

No doubt, the success of this program is the fruit of professionalism, and commitment by all the parties involved, but above all, as an example of a God who teaches us to love unconditionally.
