It ensures that Familia LightShine can provide professional and highly trained staff to interface with the government and walk alongside the foster-care families. The families don’t receive direct financial support; their only motivation is to be the hands and feet of Jesus. However, through Familia LightShine they receive a tremendous amount of training before a child’s placement, interaction and visitation during a child’s placement and in the critical time afterward, and on-going counseling while the child is with the family. In most circumstances Familia LightShine is the interface between family and government.
